Radio: Rep. Couture sounds warning on KIRO Radio against further Democratic tax increases


House Republican Budget Leader Rep. Travis Couture is warning that majority Democrats are preparing for another round of tax increases in the wake of the latest revenue forecast, which shows incoming revenue to the state has further declined. This comes after Democrats in the state Legislature passed the largest tax increases in state history in April.

Couture, R-Allyn, who spoke with KIRO Morning News hosts Charlie Harger and Manda Factor, calls the new income tax proposal “economic arson” and says it will further damage affordability in Washington state.
