Rep. Travis Couture joins KOMO 4 to highlight fight against state’s closure of care center for drug-exposed babies
Rep. Travis Couture, R-Allyn, shares House Republican Leadership’s efforts to save the Pediatric Interim Care Center, or PICC, in Kent with KOMO 4. Couture explained PICC has been a national model in caring for babies born addicted to hard drugs for 35 years but was forced to close on Monday, July 7 after the governor vetoed the funding for the center in the state operating budget and DCYF abruptly ended its contract with PICC.
