Rep. Travis Couture joins KXLY to highlight dangers of leaving kids with drug-addicted parents
Rep. Travis Couture, R-Allyn, joins KXLY TV to highlight dangers of leaving kids with parents who are addicted to hard drugs like fentanyl and meth. Couture explains the harm reduction practices under the Keeping Families Together Act continue to lead to record deaths and near deaths of children, mostly babies and toddlers, due to accidental drug ingestion. Couture has proposed HB 1092 to stop the needless deaths of children in these situations. For the second straight session, the majority party has refused to give the proposal a committee hearing.
