Rep. Travis Couture says majority Democrats failed Washington with their budget

Rep. Travis Couture, R-Allyn, was highly critical of majority Democrats final 2-year supplemental operating budget right before it passed off the House floor on party lines. Couture said the budget failed to address key priorities, such as public safety needs, including law enforcement staffing. He says it failed to adequately help Washingtonians with the affordably crisis, and failed to help K-12 students, especially special education. Instead, Couture said Democrats in the House have passed bills this session that will increase costs, such as rent control.
