Rep. Travis Couture fights for amendments to stop the rise in children dying from fentanyl

Rep. Travis Couture, R-Allyn, leads House Republican efforts to save children from drug-addicted parents by trying to strengthen House Bill 2447 with several proposed amendments. The bill is a watered-down version of Couture’s stronger, House Bill 2233 the majority party refused to give a hearing. Democrats also rejected most Republican amendments, leaving at-risk kids in danger.
